Euri Lighting
Euri Lighting, a visionary in energy-efficient lighting solutions, approached us to transform their digital presence with a new Webflow website. This Los Angeles-based company has grown from offering affordable LED bulbs to providing over 400 products in lighting and energy conservation.
Euri's existing WordPress site was complex to manage, offered poor user experience, and had an outdated design.
They needed a Webflow solution that would simplify management, modernize their look, and cater to their B2B clients with a quote-based system for bulk purchases. Our task was to create a website that showcased Euri's extensive catalog, told their sustainability story, and functioned as a B2B e-commerce platform with a few . We needed to design a user experience that would guide customers through Euri's product range and allow them to request quotations easily.
Through our discovery process, we identified key improvements: simplifying site management, creating an intuitive B2B user experience, modernizing the design, effectively showcasing products, and implementing a quote-based system. These goals set the foundation for our comprehensive redesign project.
Discovery and Planning
Snowhouse began with a comprehensive discovery and strategy process to understand Euri's specific requirements. This process included stakeholder interviews, site audits, competitor analysis, and user journey mapping. We paid special attention to Euri's unique needs, such as their complex product catalog and quote-based sales model for B2B clients.
Web design
Leveraging insights from the discovery phase, we designed key pages of the site, focusing on effectively showcasing Euri's extensive product range. The design emphasized the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation while ensuring that the complex product information and multi-level nested filtering system remained user-friendly and intuitive for B2B customers.
Webflow Development
When crafting our projects, we always consider three key factors:
- Client experience: Ensuring Euri could easily manage and update the platform post-delivery
- Our experience: Implementing solutions that allow us to work as quick efficiently as possible, keeping costs as low as possible so that the client can get a reasonable price
- End client (user) experience: Creating an intuitive, user-friendly e-commerce platform for them to purchase from with ease
Finding the sweet spot between these three factors guided our decisions in choosing the tech stack and defining the information architecture.
We carefully selected the best tools and frameworks for the project:
- Webflow: For the main website build, offering flexibility and ease of use
- Finsweet Attributes: to supercharge and add up to Webflow functionalities
- Relume: for Webflow components and wireframing
- Foxy Cart: To handle the quote-based ecom functionality, members area and gated content.
- Airtable: For efficient product data management
- Make: To create some necessary integrations and automate processes
- Figma: For quick collaborative design and prototyping
The development stage presented several unique challenges.
The main one was that Webflow ecommerce wouldn't fit the specific needs for Euri's use case - so we had to discard it as a native solution and to look and research for 3rd party alternatives.
Other challenges were:
- Integrations: not originally planned, we had to include and leverage Make to create seamless integrations between Webflow, Foxy Cart, and Airtable.
- High-volume CMS: We utilized Webflow's top-notch CMS capabilities, combined with Airtable, to efficiently manage Euri's 400+ products.
- Complex Filtering: We had to meticulously plan and implement a multi-level, nested filtering system using Webflow and Finsweet Attributes to help users navigate the extensive product range.
- Detailed product variations: We designed a flexible product display system to accommodate products with multiple variations and specifications.
- Quote-based ecom: We implemented Foxy Cart to support Euri's quote-focused B2B sales model, as Webflow's native ecom system wouldn't work for the required use case.
- Client tiers: We developed a system for various client tiers with differentiated access and pricing, as well as gated-content pricing information.
QA, Testing & Delivery
Our meticulous QA process ensured all functionalities worked across various browsers and devices, with special attention to the filtering system and quote-based e-commerce features.
Throughout the project, we learned valuable lessons:
- Transparency and consistent communication proved to be game-changers.
- Stepping out of our comfort zone, particularly with new technologies like Foxy Cart, was essential to deliver the best possible results.
- We remained true to our commitments, finding solutions and communicating honestly about any limitations when challenges arose.
Our dedication transformed what was initially a tense environment into a collaborative team effort. Although the project timeline extended beyond our initial estimate, the final outcome was an absolute success. All barriers were overcome, and Euri was satisfied with their new, robust and streamlined e-commerce platform.
The new Euri website now effectively showcases their extensive product range, communicates their commitment to sustainability, and provides a seamless experience for their B2B customers.
We're proud to have partnered with Euri in creating a digital platform that truly represents their innovative spirit and dedication to accessible, eco-conscious lighting solutions.
